“NYE One Nighter”
Reviewed February 15, 2011
We choose this hotel because of its location to the airport and the train station....and we were not disappointed! We had a very tight schedule as our flight landed at 4 and we needed to be in Darling Harbour at 6:46 to get our NYE Cruise. We got to the hotel in no time, popped over to the shops to get some NYE supplies and got to the station...all in good time. The trip into the city did take awhile (about 50 mins) but it was worth is as we did not have to take out a loan for a room in the city. We did not spend much time in the hotel, but it was clean and the bed was very comfy! Breakfast, which was included in the rate wash really good. The Staff at reception were very helpful and friendly.

“A Nice Surprise”
Reviewed January 9, 2011
We travelled to Sydney for a wedding and were surprised by the motel.
I thought that because it wasn't right in the city it would be a bit run down, but it was very clean and tidy.
The flat screen TVs were nice and we had a beautiful view.
The staff were nice especially Cathy. She was so lovely to us.
There were a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The RSL was the furthest away I think and it only took us oldies 10 minutes to walk there.
We hired a car and although there was parking available, the motel was so busy that sometimes it was hard to find a spot near the front door.
The motel is on a corner of two really busy streets, and I thought I would be bothered by the traffic noise, but I hardly heard it.
We enjoyed our stay here and recommend this place to everybody.

Review by: jewelmar, Review Date: Dec 12, 2010
Having just recently stayed here, I found the staff were fantastic. Nothing was a problem. They are very friendly and welcoming. As for the location, you just have to walk across the street and you are at Westfields. There are great restaurant within walking distance too! Over all the experience was fantastic and I would recommend this place to everyone!

“No frills Good Value for Money Hotel”
Reviewed November 27, 2010
I have stayed here a couple of times for business and thought it deserves comment. First off if you are a 5 star kind than don't stay here. This is a hotel with pros and cons but very inexpensive and value for money i believe.
Pros
- Inexpensive and rooms are well equipped for a comfortable stay.
- Friendly/helpful staff
- Free car parking
- Comfortable bed and flat screen TV
- Facilities include a fridge, tea/coffee facilities
- Breakfast options available and cheap and prompt delivery
- Across the road from Miranda Westfield, a good shopping centre with all your needs including cinema.
- a short drive to Cronulla beach district
- Inexpensive wireless internet
-there is a fitness centre next door if you want a workout
Cons
- No room service other than breakfast
-decor dated
- Not really walking distance if you want dining/bar/nightlife action on the doorstep.
I have stayed in lots of hotels in Australia and overseas including 2 and 5 star hotels but i would rate this hotel as a top little choice if you don't want to spend a lot but want to be comfortable!

“Happy With Clean, Comfortable Executive Room”
Reviewed October 9, 2010
Needed to stay near the Sutherland Hospital for a night and chose an executive room (top of the range) at the Metro Inn. Friendly helpful reception at check in. Happy with the room which was spacious and quite decently refurbished to at least the 3 1/2 star rating standard it is given. It was well equipped with a microwave, bar fridge, really good quality kettle and toaster, and well above average crockery and cutlery. There were the promised views although you need to be on the small concrete balcony or standing up in the room near the windows to see it. Traffic noise did worry me a bit (the room was right on the end of the building closest to the main road). Would definitely recommend if you need to stay in this part of town.

“The Friendliest Motel I Have Been too.”
Reviewed September 15, 2009
My husband and I arrived after hours (about 11pm) and found the place with no problems. There is a huge lit up sign on the top of the building to guide you. After reading the previous review, we were a bit worried about finding our way, but the Reception entrance is right off the main carpark and the lifts were working fine so the previous review was incorrect, I think, especially because we couldn't see any stairs at all.
The after hours procedure was so well organised and straight forward, we didn't have any problems.
The room was really nice, clean and comfy. We had a balcony with a beautiful view.
The rooms were serviced every day and really well done.
Almost every day, we had wild cockatoos come to our balcony. We hand fed them!!!!!
It was incredible. The receptionist said that they hang around all the time.
The staff at this place are the nicest and friendliest people. We were visiting family all over Sydney, but had decided to make this motel our base. The staff helped us with maps and driving directions. Nothing seemed a bother or too hard. They were always ready with a smile, which made us feel so welcome and valued.
We would definitely recommend this place to everyone without hesitation. My husband and I have already booked in for Christmas and look forward to our visit.

Perhentian Islands
ReplyDeleteThis island is about 10 nautical miles away from northwestern part of Malaysia and 40 kms away from Thailand. These are twin islands known as 'Perhentian Besar' and 'Perhentian Kecil'. However, there is a series of uninhabited and less visited islands like Susu Dara, Rawa and Senggeh. It is a tourist hot spot when it comes to the best tropical vacation spots. However, there is nothing much activity-based fun to do here and hence people who like to 'lay on the sand, all day long' come here to cut themselves off from the hustle bustle of those crowded cities. Best time to visit here is from November to March and make sure you pack your hammock with you! However, you can also enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving and swimming here, along with sunbathing and watching turtles and reef sharks! margaret river accommodation
